(WSYM) — The murder case of Danielle Stislicki could reach Michigan's highest court.

Stislicki was last seen Dec. 2, 2016. Her body was never recovered. Floyd Galloway Jr. was charged with her murder.

Attorney General Dana Nessel's office is hoping to use Galloway's former sexual assault conviction as evidence in the case.

Nessel's team formally requested the attention of the Michigan Supreme Court almost two weeks ago. The court has until March to respond.
