A River Rouge man, who is the son of a River Rouge City councilman, has been arrested and charged in the murder of his suspected drug dealer.
According to police, 33-year-old Joseph Pruneau rode a bicycle with a rifle concealed in a garbage bag to 59-year-old Robert Cook's home around 8 p.m. Friday. Joseph is the son of Councilman Mark Pruneau.
When he got inside the home, Joseph allegedly fired the rifle, hitting Cook in the abdomen.
Cook was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Joseph fled the home on his bike but was later arrested by River Rouge police officers.
He is charged with open murder and felony firearm and is expected to be arraigned on Monday afternoon in Lincoln Park.
