Snap Inc. is all about using the element of surprise when it comes to its new product: Spectacles.
Snapchat's parent company dropped a big, yellow vending machine in Venice, California on Thursday.
With no advance notice, and just a couple of tweets from the Spectacles account, the "Snapbot" quickly grabbed attention on social media.

Soon, tweets started to emerge from the spot. People lined up to pay about $130 for a pair of the company's new video recording sunglasses.

The only way you can currently buy them from the company is out of these Snapbot vending machines.
The company notes that they will be popping up in different spots, and not staying for very long.
To find where the vending machines will appear next, keep an eye on the
website for Spectacles
. According to the company, a little Snapbot icon will appear on a map 24 hours before the drop.
