The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating the mysterious death of a 22-year-old man who was left on the side of the road.

Deputies say there's a strong possibility a hit-and-run driver struck the man as he walked along Avon Road near Adams in Rochester Hills.

Sources tell 7 Action News the victim had been walking home after an alleged fight with his girlfriend at a graduation party last night.

Deputies say the victim's parents went looking for him earlier today and found his body with obvious signs of trauma.

The victim's name is not being released and family members declined to speak with Action News. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
