We are learning more details after a shelter-in-place was ordered Monday December 11 at Chandler Crossings.
The East Lansing Police Department tells us that just before 9pm, a call came in about shots fired in the area. Officers tell us that the caller reported 5 to 10 gunshots.
After further investigation it was found that no gunshots had been fired, and that no crime had been committed.
They did say that one person was detained but later released.
The shelter-in-place was lifted around 1AM Tuesday morning.
ELPD social workers provided mental health resources to the individual and their family.
