Shelby Township police say a man was found dead in a home following a barricaded situation on Monday morning.
The situation began around 3:30 a.m. in the area of Schoenherr between 22 and 23 Mile roads. It ended just before 8 a.m.
According to police, it was a domestic situation where a wife was assaulted by her husband with a weapon. She sustained minor injuries.
They found the man in his 40s dead inside the home. Police aren't saying how he died.
