Retailers are battling the internet for their very survival and to do so they're on a mission to keep you in their stores as long as possible. Flashy displays and upbeat music only go so far. The secret weapon that seems to be working is food. Teresa Strasser and Tommy Bahama Restaurant’s Gretchen Connelie have three delicious in-store restaurants worth checking out.
1. Tommy Bahama
Here they want you to live the island life, and that goes from what you wear to what you eat and drink. They have fresh seared scallop sliders and ahi tuna salad and start at around $12. They even have a fully stocked bar and are mixing the finest island cocktails.
2. Cabela's
At this massive store you can check out bears, raccoons and elk at their wildlife museum, and then taste the wildlife. The elk burger will set you back about $8.50.
3. IKEA
Besides their yearly Crawfish Feast, IKEA's massive restaurant serves up sandwiches and Swedish meatballs. In fact, more than 2 million meatballs are served daily at IKEA stores across the planet.
