A woman recently released from prison was arrested after a crime spree where she robbed two women, including punching one in a wheelchair and stabbing another.

According to Ypsilanti police, the first incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday when the 43-year-old suspect tried to rob a business at knife point. A struggle ensued and one woman was stabbed in the body.

After investigating, they found the suspect was in the business earlier in the day and may have taken money from the cash register, only to return later to try and rob it again.

About four hours later, the same woman knocked on the door of a home, punched the wheelchair-bound woman in the face and then stole her wallet with a small amount of money.

Police say they arrested the woman and found she was a suspect in both incidents. She was recently released from prison, and is now at the Washtenaw County Jail pending arraignment.
