Royal Oak police are investigating after several incidents of racist graffiti were found on homes, cars and more over the weekend.

According to police, the first report came at 5:56 a.m. Sunday when someone found a swastika spray-painted on the garage door.

While they investigated the incident, officers found other residents who had been vandalized. Other garages, fences, vehicles and a tree were spray-painted with swastikas and the phrase "white power."

In all, officers took reports from six residents and determined they happened sometime overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

The incidents do appear to be random, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 248-246-3456
