Police have issued a warning after a man posing as a Comcast worker tried to get money from a resident in Clinton Township.

Police say the man was recently in the area of 14 Mile and Beaconsfield when he approached the resident. When the resident refused to give him money for what he claimed was a late bill, the man said he had the wrong address and left, according to police.

The man is described as a white male in his 30s or 40s with a receding hairline. He left in a white Ram pickup with a Red Wings logo on the tailgate.

Comcast workers will never try to collect money for a bill in person, according to police.

If you have any information, please call the police department.
