Detroit Police are seeking the public's help identifying a man who allegedly assaulted a woman while she was jogging.

The alleged incident happened Sept. 26 at about 10:30 a.m. along the Dequindre Cut near Gratiot Avenue.

Police said a 44-year-old woman was jogging when a man ran up behind her and grabbed her butt.

The woman swung a knife at the suspect to get him to stop and he ran away, police said.

The suspect is described as black male, 25 to 30 years old, approximately 5' 10" and weighs about 150 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and blue and yellow gym shoes at the time of the incident, police added.
