Detroit police say they have busted a fentanyl lab operation on the city's west side Wednesday morning.

The lab is in the basement of a home in the 8400 block of Beaverland Street.

Police say there is no danger of an explosion, but there is loose powder present, so they are waiting on a HAZMAT response team to assist.

Michigan State Police is also on the scene.

We're told four kids lived inside the home including two infants.

Police say they have arrested one man on unrelated charges.
