When you're at a loss for words, searching for specifics can be a pain.
That's a reason why Pinterest says it's turning to a more visual approach when it comes to users looking for what they want.
The company recently announced on its official blog that it's dabbling in experimental technology to let you search with a snap.
Users would simply use their camera within the Pinterest app to take photos of the things they like. The new feature would then use the photos to produce results with similar styles or related content within Pinterest.
So, a picture of a yam could yield some delicious recipes, or a snap of a shoe could provide you with outfit inspiration.
The feature is called Lens.
Pinterest says in its early stages, it works best with home decor, food and clothing.
The technology is currently in beta, but it's expected to roll out to users across the U.S. in the coming weeks.
The company is also rolling out a couple more features related to search.
