Madison Heights police have released surveillance photos showing two vehicles that were involved in a fatal hit and run.
A 26-year-old woman was killed Sunday morning after being struck by two vehicles in Madison Heights, police said.
It happened at about midnight on Concord Drive, near 14 Mile and John R Road.
Family members have identified the woman as Nadea Kassab, 26.
Police believe Kassab was crossing the street when the first vehicle struck her. That vehicle is described as a light-colored, probably silver. The vehicle slowed after the accident but continued southbound on Concord, leaving the scene.
A second vehicle is believed to have hit her again while she was lying in the road.
Family friend Vivan Nafso said she remembers when Kassab was a little girl.
"This is really tragic," Nafso said. "If you're out there, have a heart and give yourself up. No one deserves this."
Ayad Kassab, Nadea's uncle, says life for them will never be the same.
"How can you leave a person out there just lying in the street?" Kassab said. "This is unbelievable."
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for funeral expenses. If you would like to donate, click here.
