Looking for your friends? You may soon be able to find their exact whereabouts using Google Maps.
Google announced on its official Maps blogthat it will be rolling out a new feature that will let you share where you are with people you trust.
The concept of location sharing isn't new, but the company appears to be making the tool more user friendly by putting it right into its popular Google Maps app.
Soon, users will be able to tap on the left side of their tool bar, and share their location with specific contacts. Direct links to your location can also be sent out to people, according to the blog.
There’s an additional option to share a trip with friends, letting them see where you're heading in real time.
Google notes that users will be able to decide how long they want to be tracked.
The feature is expected to roll out soon worldwide.
