Just because school is out for most, doesn’t mean the bullying goes on break-- especially in the age of social media.

AT&T just announced a new initiative aimed at helping families and students open up about the impact of online bullying.

The company has released a film called "There's a Soul Behind That Screen." The AT&T produced short film incorporates movies teenagers created about this ongoing issue.

The film takes people on a journey of what it’s like to be a victim of cyberbullying, living through the humiliation and fear. Parents who lost their child after he was bullied online are also featured in the mini documentary.

The film is available to watch online, and it’s about 20 minutes long. It's a short commitment, but one that can lead to an invaluable discussion.

AT&T has also posted a resource guide by Common Source Media for parents detailing ways they can help prevent, detect and handle cyber bullying. There’s even information for parents who find out their kid is the one doing the bullying.
