Dramatic body camera footage shows a Trenton police officer saving a woman after she lost control and landed her vehicle in the Detroit River Monday.

A nearby couple called 911 after they saw her lose control and police responded quickly.

The sergeant used a kayak on a waterline property to make it out to the sinking car. Once there, he used a paddle to break the driver's side window. He was then able to kayak to Elizabeth Park with the woman in the kayak.

The woman is now recovering at home.
