The federal lawsuit that hopes to block some of the public funding for the all-new Little Caesars Arena took another turn on Monday morning when the NBA, Palace Sports and Entertainment, who owns the Pistons, and Olympia Entertainment were added.
The suit was filed by activist Robert Davis and city clerk candidate D. Etta Wilcoxon and aims to force a vote on the $34.5 million in taxpayer-funded bonds for the project.
Last week, a similar lawsuit was dropped by Davis and Wilcoxon, but he said he would pursue a related lawsuit.
Others included in the lawsuit include the Detroit Public Schools Community District, DPSCD Director Iris Taylor and Detroit Public Schools.
