LANSING, Mich. — McLaren Greater Lansing is treating a patient with a presumptive positive case of COVID-19. The patient is in stable condition and they are continuing to work directly with the MDHHS and Ingham County Health Department on the care of this patient and to monitor cases across Michigan. Specimens will be sent to the CDC for confirmatory testing.

Their staff has followed procedures outlined by the CDC since the patient entered our hospital. The patient was placed in an isolation room and caregivers are using the recommended precautions to ensure the safety of their staff, patients, and visitors.

McLaren Greater Lansing has recently implemented additional visitor restrictions and are continuing to evaluate expanding COVID-19 screening processes for patients and visitors. In addition, our team has increased regular cleaning frequency of high touch point areas. They are actively encouraging patients, visitors, and staff to continue to place increased focus on effective hand hygiene and utilization of masks if warranted.

While they are focused on addressing this constantly evolving situation, they continue to operate safely and in full capacity of service delivery in all their departments.
