Michigan Attorney Dana Nessel is warning residents of price gouging related to products to combat COVID-19.

The attorney general’s office is already aware of businesses selling facemasks, hand sanitizers and cleaning supplies at exceptionally high prices.

“Supply and demand might be a familiar saying for retailers, but price-gouging is against the law and protecting consumers against unfair business practices is a service my office provides to residents,” Nessel said in a release.

Anyone who feels a business is price gouging can contact the attorney general’s office at 877-765.8388.
