The Michigan Supreme Court has denied an appeal for the infamous drug dealer known as "White Boy Rick."
Richard Wershe has spent nearly 30 years in prison on a non-violent crime. The one-time teenage drug dealer and FBI informant was locked up after a single conviction for cocaine possession in May of 1987.
In the Supreme Court order, the court said the appeal was denied "because we are not persuaded that the question presented should be reviewed by the court."
White Boy Rick was just 17 years old when he was sentenced and is currently the longest serving prisoner in the state of Michigan for a non-violent crime.
