This week, Michigan State Police will have an increased presence on the Southfield Freeway, according to a tweet.
Operation CARE will also be in effect across the district on Tuesday and Wednesday. The program, a long-running traffic safety initiative, deters the three key causes of highway fatalities: speeding, impaired driving and failure to use occupant restraints.
"Please Drive Michigan Safely this holiday week!" MSP tweeted.
