Michigan State Police: Vehicle recovered in fatal shooting of 3-year-old boy

Michigan State Police say they have recovered the four-door Mercedes vehicle connected to the death of 3-year-old Christian "CJ" Miller.

Police say the vehicle was recovered after they executed a search warrant in Detroit.

Police say while they are no longer seeking information on the vehicle, they are continuing to ask for information about the incident itself.

CJ was shot on Jan. 24 on the northbound lanes of the Southfield Freeway near Joy Road on the Detroit's west side. He was in the backseat of his godmother's SUV on the way to Sesame Street Live when it happened.

MSP said the man driving the Mercedes fired the shot that hit the back door and went through CJ's car seat.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
