A Michigan State Police chaplain had minor injuries after a scuffle with a man walking down I-96 in Detroit.
Police say around 2 a.m. Thursday, they received multiple calls of a man walking in the center of the westbound I-96 freeway near Warren.
When troopers arrived and tried to talk to the man, he reportedly started fighting with the troopers and the Metro South chaplain who was riding along.
Troopers were able to get the man into custody and lodge him at the Detroit Detention Center.
The chaplain sustained a few minor cuts during the scuffle. There were no other injuries to the troopers or the suspect.
