The metro Detroit area lands in the top third of a list of fattest cities in the U.S.
Credit report website Wallethub ranked the 100 most populated metro areas in the country. The Detroit area came in at 29.
The rankings are based on three factors: the number of people who are overweight or obese, weight-related health problems and healthy environment. Each of those scores was then averaged on a 100 point scale.
Number one on the list went to Jackson, Mississippi. It was followed by Memphis, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas.
