Money isn't always the easiest thing to talk about, leaving some people to turn to the World Wide Web for answers.
So what exactly are people googling when it comes to financial questions? Analysts at TermLife2Go , a life insurance site, used Google Trends data to find out via state.
Turns out, Michigan residents searched "income tax" more than any other financial query in the last year.
According to the report, "income tax" was the most googled term in 23 states – "that’s a very high percentage, but perhaps not as surprising when you remember that new tax laws took effect this year."
As far as other states, retirement was the most searched term in Wyoming, the state with the fastest growing senior population in the United States, while Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and Washington all googled “mortgage” the most, possibly because they’re among the top 10 fastest growing states in the US, the study found.
