The 8th birthday of a little boy from Grand Haven will always be a special memory for his family.
This was the first birthday he's been healthy enough to celebrate - and he celebrated it with a big party.
Jaydon Beaulieu was diagnosed before he turned 2. Surgery and chemo, unfortunately, took a toll. Setbacks over the years put birthday parties on hold - until now.
Over the weekend, he celebrated his 8th birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese, with a little help from WZZM-TV, our affiliate in Grand Rapids.
Jaydon is now cancer-free and a six-year survivor.
Doctors did not think he would be able to walk or talk, but he defied those odds, too. His mom calls him their little hero.
