"He stunk really bad," recalls the 15-year-old girl about the man she says grabbed and groped her on her way home from school Thursday afternoon.

It happened near the KFC on Annapolis near Telegraph in Dearborn Heights.

The teen was walking home from school with her two younger sisters when a stranger asked for the time. She ignored him, but that's when the teen says he grabbed her in her crotch area and began trying to pull her.

The teen fought back, pushing the man and hoping he wouldn't try to go after her sisters - who began to run.

"Now, it was survival. You got to go," the teen thought to herself as she wrestled herself away from the stranger.

He ran off. The girls ran to a relative's house where they called their dad.

Thanks to the teen's detailed description of the man, Dearborn Heights Police were able to track down and arrest the suspect.

Investigators say he's a transient in his late 40s.

We are not identifying the girls because the case involves a sexual assault.
