Clinton Township police say a man who was arrested escaped custody during a prisoner exchange on Saturday afternoon.
According to police, they received a call about a suspicious person in the area of 15 Mile and Groesbeck around 12:15 p.m. Saturday. Through a criminal check, they found the man had a warrant from St. Clair County.
He was arrested, and taken to the area of I-94 and 26 Mile Rd. to be turned over to the Marysville Police Department.
During the exchange, the man was able to break free and flee into a wooded area. Police searched the area but couldn't find the man.
