Future actors and actresses got a chance to learn the ropes with professionals in Lansing on Friday.
The Young Americans are teaching, mentoring and delivering their performing arts workshop to thousands of students in Mid-Michigan.
The three-day workshop encourages students and gives them the confidence to hit the stage.
The Young Americans is a group of performers from all across the world. They travel throughout the country to work with high school students .
The event was funded by the Demmer Corporation and several local businesses.
The students will watch the Young Americans perform in the first hour of a show Saturday, then join them on stage in the second hour.
The shows are at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Everett High School.
