If you've been doing some clean up in your yard, you can now start leaving those materials on your curb for pick up.

Capital Area Recycling and Trash has begun yard waste collection.

They will pick up leaves, grass clippings, and other yard waste materials. Just set those items on the curb on the same day of your trash and recycling pick up.

All yard waste must be in paper bags. Brush and tree trimmings must be less than 4' in length and less than 2" in diameter and bundled with string or twine.

Check out their website for more do's and don'ts here.

And this Saturday, Recycle Rama is taking place a the Ingham County Health Department from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Electronics, Styrofoam, unwanted medicine, appliances, scrap metal and other materials will be accepted at no charge. TV's and monitors are $20/each to drop off. Event is open to everyone.
