OKEMOS, Mich. — A woman was rescued from a pond after driving her car into the water on Monday morning, police say.
It happened around 9:20 a.m. on West Pond Road in Okemos.
The woman, driving a small red sedan, was in the car when it went into the pond from Grand River, police say.
Police say the car was "nearly fully submerged."
Police and Fire Battalion Chief Mark Vroman told FOX 47 that it was a "great team effort between PD and Fire."
The woman was rescued from the car.
No word yet on her injuries or why she went into the pond.
