In Ionia County an elderly woman was killed after a 3-car accident on Tuesday. It happened around 2 p.m. on M-66 near Dildine Road.
Deputies say 72-year-old Gisela Peek was stopped and waiting to turn left when she was rear-ended by an SUV. Her car was pushed into oncoming traffic and then hit by a Jeep Cherokee.
Peek was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people in the Jeep were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
