A Michigan woman is in serious condition after being involved in a head-on crash with a semi-truck north of Ionia Monday.
The Ionia County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash on M-66 between Dildine and Parmeter roads in Ionia Township around 2:15 p.m.
The Ionia County Sheriff's Office says 53-year-old Kimberlee Wotring of Greenville, was driving southbound when her van crossed into the northbound lanes.
The driver of a northbound semi swerved to try to avoid a crash, but couldn't.
Wotring was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
There were no reports of injuries for the driver of the semi, a 68-year-old Greenville man.
Investigators don't yet know why Wotring's vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes. Neither speed or alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
The Ionia County Sheriff's Office says both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The road was shut down for hours while emergency responders and investigators were on the scene, but it has since reopened.
