EAST LANSING, Mich. — On Wednesday, a woman identified herself as a rape victim, claiming that MSU basketball players attacked her in 2015, in a New York Times article.

Bailey Kowalski's name was released in an article that ran in the New York Times.

The MSU student claims the university discouraged her from reporting the assault to police when it happened.

She has since filed a federal lawsuit against MSU, claiming her Title IX rights were violated.

Kowalski has not identified the players that she is accusing of the assault and no criminal charges have been filed.

She is expected to speak in front of reporters on Thursday in East Lansing.
