JACKSON, Mich. — A Jackson woman charged in the death of a baby boy is scheduled to be in court Tuesday morning
Amber Reeves is charged with manslaughter and second-degree child abuse in the death of 14-month-old Logan Tracy.
He died in October 2018 from blunt force trauma to his stomach.
Prosecutors say Reeves beat the boy because she was angry with his father, who she was dating at the time. She was not the baby's mother.
Reeves waived her right to a preliminary exam, sending her case to the trial face in December 2018.
Reeves faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
She's scheduled to be Jackson County Circuit Court at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
