The Jackson woman accused of killing a 14-month-old boy is heading to trial.
On Wednesday, Amber Reeves waived her right to a preliminary exam, which means the case will go to the trial phase.
Fourteen-month-old Logan Tracy died on Oct. 11 from a blow to the stomach.
Prosecutors say Reeves beat the boy because she was angry with his father, who she was dating at the time.
Reeves was not the baby's mother. She is charged with manslaughter and second-degree child abuse.
