LANSING, Mich. — Get out and enjoy nature by participating in this year’s Woldumar Virtual Trail 5k, presented by JCI Lansing. In its 13th year, Woldumar’s race has gone virtual with the help of JCI Lansing. This provides the opportunity for community members to run/walk the designated course at Woldumar Nature Center at their convenience, or a course of their choosing October 26, 2020 through November 8, 2020. The event will be selftimed with a virtual celebration on November 8th to conclude the race.
Each participant will receive a race medallion and a certificate of completion. Mock awards and prizes will be awarded to those who participate in the selfie stations and check-in using our hashtags. Register online at https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/Lansing/RUNAMunk.
Tickets are $25. You can add-on a limited edition race shirt for $15. The Woldumar Nature Association is a Lansing, MI-based nonprofit that engages over 5000 students in outdoor education each year. They believe giving back is natural and now more than ever, they need your support. Woldumar has been hit hard by Covid. Your participation in this event supports quality science education that instills a passion for the natural world in young people and furthers their mission: "To educate people about the natural environment."
JCI Lansing is a group of 21 to 40 year olds who focus on developing leadership skills through community involvement, empowering young persons to create positive change. Popular community events include the Easter Egg Hunt on the Capitol Lawn and Stuff the Bus.
