LANSING, Mich. — Slippery roads may have contributed to a truck hitting a utility pole on Lansing's south-side.
Crews from the Lansing Board of Water & Light were on scene Tuesday night making repairs when a supervisor on duty told FOX 47 a truck hit a utility pole that knocked out power and shut down traffic.
Keiania Prangel works at the Walgreens on the corner.
She says the power went out and the store closed for about an hour.
“Whatever that is, the power line went through his car through the driver side like diagonal,” Prangel said.
“They wheeled him away in the back of an ambulance as soon as it happened.”
Accident investigators from the Lansing Police Department say one person is recovering in the hospital in stable condition.
“I was in the store. I heard the boom and I saw the lights and that was it,” Prangel said.
There were no other injuries reported or cars involved in the crash.
The accident is still under investigation.
