"We could just, like, hear wind whipping outside and we had power flicker on and off a few times,” Megan Berg said. “It's wild."
And now Megan Berg is without power, as are many people in Mason.
"It kinda sucks,” Berg said. “That's why I'm in my car right now at a gas station parking lot so I can charge my phone."
All because of the strong winds that just wouldn't quit.
"It was intimidating a little bit,” Ariel Wellman said. “I had a friend who had a trampoline in her yard and it took off into the woods."

"It's crazy," Lynn Hastings said.
So crazy that the winds are breaking records at DTE energy. They report 563,000 homes are without power throughout the state. That's the second most outages they've ever had from a storm, coming in second to one from 1991.
As for the Lansing area, the board of water and light reports more than 200 wires down. They and Consumers Energy are working around the clock to restore power as soon as possible.
A spokesperson for Consumers Energy says the worst of the areas hit should have their power back by Sunday.
