A storm system heading through the Northern Great Lakes will bring strong winds to Mid-Michigan late morning into the afternoon. Sustained winds of 15-25 MPH are expected. Wind gusts at times early this afternoon may be near 50 MPH. Lawn furniture, garbage cans and other loose objects outside need to be brought indoor or secured today. The gusty winds could cause tree damage or power outages.
Scattered rain showers are expected this morning. A cold front moves through the area early afternoon. Behind the cold front the clouds clear out. Plenty of sunshine is expected by late afternoon. High temperatures today will be in the low 70s around noon. Temperatures drop back to the mid 60s by late afternoon.
The weekend looks pretty good. Plenty of sunshine Saturday with highs in the mid 70s. Partly cloudy Sunday with the chance of a stray shower. Highs Sunday will be in the mid to upper 60s.
