Today at Williamston's Explorer Elementary 5th graders shared information about well known people in US History. Students worked with their teachers and parents to research their person from history to put together a written report, a poster and all of this work culminated in the wax museum day where students put together a short synopsis of the person's life. Parents and other community members were in attendance and all kids did a great job at sharing the lives of these important people in US History.
This project has been happening in Williamston for the past 5 years. The project itself ties into the Elnglish Language standards that the district works to achieve as set by the State of Michigan.
