MASON, Mich. — Court documents FOX 47 has obtained give new insight into the Ammar Al-Yasari murder investigation. The documents include the information police used to get an arrest warrant for Ammar Al-Yasari's wife, Bdour Al-Yasari.
According to Detective William Lo of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, investigators began zeroing in on Ammar Al-Yasari's wife, Bdour, soon after his murder when they discovered she'd been having an affair with Jacob Ficher.
Police say they found a mountain of evidence when they searched Ficher's home, including a receipt from a local store where they think he bought the murder weapon. Police followed up with the store and were given surveillance footage of Bdour Al-Yasari dropping off Ficher at the store where he then bought the item, four days before Ammar Al-Yasari was killed.
Their investigation also found the Al-Yasari home on Glenberry Drive in Holt had an electronic security system in place, but it had been turned off by Bdour twice on Feb. 4, the day of Ammar's murder.
Jacob Ficher's roommate was also interviewed by investigators.
The roommate said he heard Bdour Al-Yasari and Jacob Ficher orchestrating and talking about murdering Ammar just days before the incident happened.
According to the pathologist, Ammar Al-Yasari died when he was struck multiple times with an edged, blunt object. In the documents, detectives never identified what kind of weapon was used or what specific store it was bought from.
A preliminary hearing for the case against Bdour Al-Yasari and Jacob Ficher is scheduled for March 21.
