It's a time for severe weather throughout the U.S. right now — but one state, Michigan, is avoiding it.
Weather Channel Meteorologist Ari Sarsalari says May is typically a time when the state sees an increase in severe storms, but this year has been different. There were only two reports of it in May — May 18 in Ludington (60 miles per hour wind gust during a thunderstorm) and on May 28 in Temperance (another severe wind gust).
Severe weather may include hail, tornadoes or other wind damage, The Weather Channel says.
