LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was in Lansing Sunday for the 2019 Playmakers Super bowl Wild Wings Bowl 5K Run.
She stopped to answer questions on what she plans to tackle after one month in office.
"Schools that are worthy of our kids and prepare our children. Roads that keep us safe, and make our economy one that makes people want to come in and invest. Cleaning up our drinking water. Those are the fundamentals that I ran on, those are the fundamentals that I am going to work on and these are the things that should not be republican or democrat. " Said Whitmer
As for Whitmer's running in Sundays 5K, its part of her new year’s resolution to get Michiganders fit and for her to walk 60,000 miles this year
