LANSING, Mich. — Governor Gretchen Whitmer is "on the go" this Wednesday as she discusses her budget, speaks at the Capitol, and participates at a vigil.
Whitmer's morning started at a meeting with the Michigan College Access Network.
Their she discussed her FY 2020 budget.
The event was part of the MCAN College Access Advocacy Day that was held at Boji Tower.
She then joined Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist for Muslim Day at the Capitol.
The Governor was scheduled as the event's keynote speaker.
At 12:15 p.m., the Governor will be at the Michigan Hall of Justice.
She will be joined by the Michigan Sheriffs Association, the Michigan Association of Counties, as well as the Michigan Speaker of the House, the state's Chief Justice, and Michigan's Attorney General.
They will all take part as Governor Whitmer signs an executive order to start a bipartisan effort to examine jail and pretrial incarceration.
Muslim Day will be held on the steps of the Michigan State Capitol and is scheduled to start at noon.
Whitmer will conclude her busy day at the Sexual Assault Survivor’s Reception and Vigil in the Capitol Rotunda tonight.
