Webberville Schools superintendent Brian Friddle has confirmed to fox47news.com that a high school employee is being investigated for "inappropriate communication" with a student.

He says the following message was sent to parents regarding the investigation:

"We received a report today alleging that a secondary support staff member has had inappropriate communication with a student. We have turned this report over to local law enforcement. We just wanted you to know that we are working on this situation and that we will be cooperating with law enforcement officials."

Friday the Ingham County Sheriff's Office and the superintendent confirmed there was an investigation but would not elaborate. Lt. Greg Harris told wilx.com he would not confirm the "nature of the incident" because investigators were still interviewing people. The Webberville High School employee's name has not been released.
