LANSING, Mich. — Organizers with the Jackson Hot Air Jubilee have decided for a second time to ground several hot air balloons from taking flight at Ella Sharp Park weather.
A decision to cancel a morning launch of the balloons was made just after 6:30 a.m. Friday, July 19.
The launch was called off Thursday, July 18 because of the weather.
Organizers also update information on flights, including cancellations and delays on the event's Facebook page.
Those attending the annual Jackson Hot Air Jubilee will have to worry about ongoing construction and finding a place to park.
Drivers using South Jackson Street can take the road to Elmdale Drive and turn west to go into the park. Then turn left onto Birchwood Drive to find a parking lot on the righthand side.
Drivers using West Hickory Avenue can take Horton Road to West Hickory Avenue, turn north, follow the road along the Ella Sharp Park Golf Course and across Fourth Street into the park. Turn left on Elmdale Drive and the parking lot will be on the right.
Handicap parking is located near the Ella Sharp Museum.
The Jackson Hot Air Jubilee runs through Sunday, July 21.
