Take a step back 65 million years ago and experience the majestic size and scale of your favorite dinosaurs in Amazing Dinosaurs!—a new traveling exhibit now stomping through downtown Lansing. The 3,000-square-foot hands-on exhibit opened Saturday, July 14 with over 2,568 mid-Michigan visitors in attendance for its grand opening weekend.
With dinosaur recreations and real prehistoric fossils you can see and touch, this immersive exhibit takes you on a journey learning about the various stages of a dinosaur’s life—from an egg to a grown adult. Compare various time periods when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, learn about their habitats, eating habits, and unique physical features. Families can suit up as paleontologists and uncover fossils, then stomp in the sand making dinosaur tracks, create dinosaur etchings, and step inside a real T. rex footprint!
Families can visit Amazing Dinosaurs! at Impression 5 Science Center now through January 13, 2019. This exhibit’s visit is possible thanks to generous local sponsorship by Lake Trust Credit Union, the Lansing Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and Plante Moran.
Impression 5 Science Center is a hands-on space for students and families to play, create, and challenge their understanding of science. Located in downtown Lansing, the Science Center is open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5:00 p.m. For admission prices and more information, visit impression5.org.
