Vice President Pence is planning a trip to Michigan.
He will be in Grand Rapids on Monday at a rally for John James.
James is running against Democrat Debbie Stabenow for the U.S. Senate.
James said about Pence coming to his speak on his behalf, "The Vice President knows first-hand that when momentum starts in Michigan it does not stop. The people of our state don't want free stuff, they want a fair shot and as they get to know me they trust I will always have their back."
The rally is October 29 at 5 p.m. at the DeltaPlex in Grand Rapids. The organizers say that many of the Republican candidates will also be present at the Lincoln Day rally.
